Though teachers used to scold him for doodling during the class, his talent landed him in a job when his art teacher shared his doddles.
Joe Whale is a 9-year-old kid from Shrewsbury who loves doodling. Though he used to get scolded by his teachers for making doodles during the class, his art teacher, Kerry Jones, recognized and appreciated his talent and posted his work on her Instagram account. Soon after his doodle went viral his life got changed.
Her posts impressed a restaurant named Number 4 in Shrewsbury so much that they made up their mind to appoint Joe to decorate their dining room with his doodling talent.
When his father was asked about this, Greg Whale said,
“He used to doodle on the table’s whiteboard in class and get into trouble for doodling.”
His parents appreciated his talent and so enrolled him in an after-school art class – Bloom, which was run by Jones, his art teacher.
Speaking about Joe, Jones said,
“I first met Joe several weeks ago, he was a bit frustrated at school because he couldn’t doodle as much as he wanted to and had been asked to stop.”
“I was blown by his talent and recognized his artwork as advanced and so decided to move him to a class for older students,”
she said.
The teacher was so impressed that she even gave him her art class wall to make doodles. According to Jones, the kid’s work is so exact that he does not need any practice before moving from pencil to pen.
Since he accepted the offer from the restaurant, Joe’s father takes him there after school for designing the wall every day. There he is having a nearly 8 feet wide wall as his canvas to draw whatever he wants to.
In a video, Joe talked about his talent and said,
“It makes me happy that I can express myself. All the creations just come from my head and they just pop out. And I can dream of them coming to life and me shaking hands with them and giving them hi-fives.”
People on social media are appreciating this small kid a lot for his work. He is also having his own website and Instagram page that goes by the name of ‘The Doodle Boy.’
