Washington: Secret Service agents rushed President Donald Trump to safety to a White House bunker on Friday night as a hundred protesters gathered around the executive mansion, some of them throwing rocks and tugging the police barricades.
The abrupt decision by the agents was because the chants from protestors in Lafayette Park could be heard all weekend, Secret Service agents and law enforcement officers thought best to shelter Mr. President since it was difficult to contain the crowd, Donal Trump spent nearly an hour in the bunker.
Friday’s protest was triggered by the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after he was manhandled by the cops in Minneapolis.
The protests in Washington turned violent and appeared to catch the officers by surprise, nobody had predicted that things could get this worse.
