The Simpsons Prediction: There is a fascinating and curious theory about the animated series The Simpsons. If something happens once, it’s part of life, no predictions have done there. If an event happens twice, we start to rethink matters again. But if the events happen again and again, it may be time traveling is involved.
The Simpsons have done it again; a lot of us believe the creator of this series is, in fact, a time traveler since it is impossible to predict futuristic events that hadn’t taken place until now with such accuracy.
The Simpsons are gods of predictions and prophesy telecasted in episodes nearly 20 years ago, have far come true.
Here’s a list of all the Simpsons Predictions and prophesies showed in the series with such detailed accuracy –
Europe struggles to get rid of Greece
The financial crisis in Greece rumbled the state in 2015, hogging headlines for weeks on Greece bankruptcy and taking loans from other countries. But the long-running U.S show witnessed Greece’s economic crisis years before.
A subtle gag in 2013 episode “Politically Inept, With Homer Simpson.” As Springfield’s most loveable clown is being interviewed on TV, a news ticker flashes on the screen below with the headline: “Europe puts Greece on eBay.”
Three-eyed fish jeopardy
In a 1990 episode, Bart catches a mutated, three-eyed fish in the local river. A nod to the pollutant effects of the town’s nuclear power plant.
Over 20 years later, in 2011, a real-life fish was discovered in an Argentinean reservoir located near a nuclear facility. The fish looked candidly the same as of its cartoon counterpart, with three mutated eyes.
The Rigged Voting Machine chaos
The 2008 gag about rigged voting machines which counted votes for the Republican party member even when the majority of the citizens chose Barack Obama seemed spookily spot on when people complained about the exact problem during Donald Trump’s election in 2012.
Autocorrect and the iPhone
It seems that Simpsons were not the only one infuriated by autocorrect in smartphones, down the line; users all over the world tasted the same agony.
A bunch of employees at Apple revealed that the one-off joke about the keyboard functions helped motivate them to create the iPhone.
The Simpsons Prediction about Apple, and its autocorrect way before in time.
President Donald Trump
The Simpsons writers already predicted Donald Trump would become the president of America back in 2000.
The episode, ‘Bart to the Future,’ envisions the futuristic scenario of Bart and Lisa Simpson. The latter, with an uncanny resemblance to Hillary Clinton, has become the first female president of the United States.
She says to her advisors, “As you know, we’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump,” and they inform her that her predecessor has bankrupted the country.
Disney’s takeover of 21st Century Fox
The episode ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ is telecasted in November 1998, a sign outside of a building, it reads “20th Century Fox, a Division of Walt Disney Co.”
The Simpsons Prediction came true only recently when it was revealed that Disney announced a USD 52.4 billion deal to buy most of 21st Century Fox’s assets, including X-men and the Home Alone series.
The Simpsons have managed to spook everyone with their candid predictions; we still don’t understand how the Simpsons writers have managed to get the facts right. Only time will tell.
